EDay Life review and future prospects

Dear Friends of EDay,

In an effort to keep you all updated as to where we are up to I would like to review where we came from and our prospects for the next year and beyond.

In reviewing the last 18 months since EDay was created we have;

-Launched the EDay brand in the market place with a stand out logo.
-Displayed three types of prototype cars to give a flavour of the products we intend to import.
-Become a key player in the EV supply dialogue in the market place.
-Received hundreds of registrations of interest in the cars, HEM - home energy manager and the EPad applications.
-Over 100 expressions of interest in being a part of the EV trial.
-Joined the successful application for $26 million in funding from the AutoCRC which will drive EDay innovation in 2012 to 2017.

For our part the prospects for EDay have never looked brighter, we recently;

-Signed a two stage long term strategic alliance with the selected Chinese design house providing multiple products over several years;

  • Stage 1: The supply of 6 vehicles in 2012 / 2013 and beyond.
  • Stage 2: The design changes in 2014 with all models redesigned and updated.

-We signed an MOU which clarified the parameters for a supply agreement with another manufacturer to supply the EDay P25 SUV (and EDay E25 SUV) in 2012 – picture included of the first car covered in signatures of the stakeholders.
-We have also consolidated our position as a provider of technical support to the Chinese suppliers so that the finished vehicle will meet the expectations of a more sophisticated western market.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that we have never been more excited with the prospects for EDay and look forward to 2012 and the events we have planned.

On behalf of the Board I would like to thank you for your interest and support and wish you and your families a happy and healthy Christmas break and a successful 2012.
